Our new label printing solution enables customers to easily print labels with barcodes for prepacked products.

The UWE IP-500 label printer interfaces with the ASEP retail scale via RS232. The ASEP send weight and price data to the printer which stores a formatted label design.

UWE IP 500 Label Printer

The printer can use preprinted labels with supplier details such as “Dairy Queen Farm” or can be programmed with this information to be printed on blank labels.

The solution allows for barcodes to most standards for shops. The barcode can store all the information about each product, such as date time, weight price etc.

The labels are easily designed by using the label design software supplied with the printer. We have designed several labels for clients who want a ready to go systems for their prepacking area.

Barcode labelling systems for prepacking have typically been expensive units, the new IP-500 printer has allowed customers to purchase a ready to go barcode labelling scale for less than £800.00.

For more information visit Scalesmart.co.uk, or please call us free on 0800 915 4201 for more information.

The Ohaus RA and Ohaus RE models are available at £115.00 and £135.00

We now have stock of two new retail scales from Ohaus. The Ohaus RA and Ohaus RE models are available at £130.00 (RRP: £196.00) and £150.00 (RRP: £245.00) respectively. We have been able to offer hefty discounts on these two cracking retail scales due to our working relationship with Ohaus and the level of stock we have ordered.

When you compare the RA and RE with models available at similar prices they really do shine, when you pick them up they feel well built and substantial, they appear to have been developed to target the unbranded lower end scales yet have managed to do this without affecting the build quality.

The RA is larger than it looks yet still fits neatly onto a work counters that are often found in butchers and delicatessens.

The RE is slightly larger and also features a 100g/1kg switching function for people that are weighing out smaller items for sale such as chocolates and coffee/tea. Both units come supplied with mains adapters and can be used in conjunction with scoops if required.

I think you will find it hard to find retail scales as well built as these two models for similar money and I’m not just saying that, I firmly believe it hence the reason for stocking so many.
